Currently putting a 302 out of an 01 Explorer into my 2000 Ranger 4wd. Using the 4r70w out of the explorer, and a bw4406 t case. Seeing as its my dd im trying to get all my ducks in a row before I start the heart transplant. I picked up a pair of tri-y's and im assuming if I raise my motor 2" the headers will clear the steering column and frame and diff etc etc. Am I correct to assume this? The rest of the exhaust is going to be custom so no worries there. Also not gonna have any of the parts for the AC if that makes a difference.. bear with my lack of knowledge as ive never swung a wrench until I picked my truck up 2 years ago. Thanks in advance!

Not sure bout the tri-y's part, but the complete setup from the Explorer is a direct swap into your 4x4 Ranger. I have a customer/friend that has done 4 or 5 of the swap into Ranger Edges.

Don't waste your money, The tri-ys will not fit even if you raise the engine. The only headers that will fit are the Torque Monsters, Or the stock Explorer ( cast or stainless). You can go custom, but the cost will be as much or more than the Torque Monsters and take just as long to get. You need to see a 1998 or later Ranger with a V-8 in the truck or look at a stock Explorer with a V-8, frame is the same as the Ranger from the transmission cross member forward, there is no room for anything.
