Mechanic to do V8 Swap near Nashville TN

I have been talking with the guys from James Duff Inc. They sent me here. I am looking for someone to do a V8 swap in my 1994 Ranger 4x4.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Not sure where as I don't live there, but I hope you understand its going to be expensive, if any shop will even touch it. I was told by a couple local mechanics where I live that an engine swap with another 2.9L V6 would be about $5k. So figure at least that for a V8, most likely a whole lot more to have a shop do it.

Check craigs list. I know there is a guy here in CO that is advertising doing the V-8 swaps. I dont have any way of checking their work, but maybe they would have a list/pics of the work they have done.

Like said above, having a shop do it will add about twice the price. just sayin'. Any street rod shop should be able to do what your looking for. Good luck and keep us up to date on your project.

It took me a month of nights to get mine in.

Figure 2 hours a night x 25 nights x $120/hr... = $6,000

Plus driveshafts.

Plus exhaust.

Plus parts, plus I wasn't trying to sell myself parts I may not have needed.

Ouch. :black_eye:
