Just trying to get an update I see a lot of guys have changed setups, trying to see what has and has not worked for yall. I rarely see any v8 rangers at our local tracks so to hear yalls times is pretty interesting. I will be running a gt40p motor with a c4 8.8 carbed and 100shot on a plate. Times coming soon

1994 ext ranger

mine is a 1994 ext cab ranger. I tried the pro comp heads off ebay and they are junk. my motor got hot and I had to redo the motor. i have custom 1 3/4 headers. I changed to a solid roller .672 lift camshaft and a set of dart pro one heads. the motor made 508 hp. the truck has 3:55 gears with a 28 inch tall tire. 12.57 @101.89 mph was the fastest pass. I'm changing the rear gears to a 4:30 gear now. the fuel pressure reg went out after that pass so im not sure if it would have done better. im hoping the times drop into the mid to low 11s on motor.

I have always been told not to spray a dual plane intake. I would change to a single plane intake when you do your heads. maybe something like a torker 289

I built my 306, with Eagle crank, .496 comp cam, forged piston, built stock heads, Edelbrock air gap intake, will be shooting 150hp shot on it. Haven't race it yet because still have the FMX transmission and the 7.5 inch rear end in the truck. I hace a built C4 with 2500 stall torq converter and a 8.8 inch rear end to install.

Not a bad base line brotha. Looks like spinning thru the 60 ft?
The stalled c4 n rear end will def help take some time off, looking fwd to the progress on those upgrades. [emoji106]
I'm itchin to get some passes on mine, weather should break soon
