automatic to 5 speed swap

hows it going i have a 2000 ford ranger 3.0 it had the 4r44e swap in it and i am doing the 5 speed swap i have everything i need but i am having trouble finding the clutch interlock wiring harnes that is in the cab forums i read says they are tucked in the dash but i cant seem to find it? if i dont have one a clutch interlock already wired up how do i bypass it or do i gotta change the whole harness?

Up somewhere under your dash is the plug for the clutch multi-function switch, I can assure you of two facts, first that it is there, and second that it is already "Jumpered".

You need to find the plug and remove the jumper block to connect it to the pushrod mounted switch IF you choose to install one...

False. My 99 did NOT have any provisions for the clutch switch. I believe this was s 98+ trait.

I know what I was looking for... I know my 96 auto had the plug...but I can assure you that the 99 did not.

i am positive my truck does not have the plug my ? is do i need it to start the truck if so what did you do plum to get the truck to start ?

i installed the 5 speed engine harness everyone said i had to and get the computer flashed or i was gunna loop it like u did with the auto harness at the nss

I used the manual ECU and auto harness. Looped the NSS and ran the reverse switch wires to the pigtail for the switch.

I had to have the manual ECU flashed for the PATS
