It already has one.

Cold air intakes were upgrades in the old days when carburetors had the big round air filter that sucked in warm engine compartment air.
In the late '70 early '80s when fuel injection and tighter emission standards were coming in, Factory designers added CAI to their vehicles.
Same with tuned exhausts, pretty much any vehicle from 1980 and up has a tuned exhaust.

And yes, I am sure someone makes one for an Explorer :)

Pretty much every vehicle comes with one from the factory since the late 80s. they do not look like much but they are there.

replacing them with a kit cold air intake almost always reduces the cold air intake to a hot air intake. which is counter productive.

the kits have that nifty filter that looks cool. but doesnt really help.

You could spend the money on a pair of those fuzzy dice and hang them from your mirror and have the same effect as one of them things! Yeah they MAY flow more air! But your engine cannot eat that much air, so it is to no avail.
Save your money and take your gal out for the evening!

I bought one just cause I was doing the V8 swap in a Ranger. My Mustang shows real close to outside air vs inlet air.

Yah ,but he nailed it .Until you significantly increase the engine's ability to breathe, the chintzy lookiking plastic is as good as it needs to be and better than the cool looking open element cones. which allow too much silica :D
