Hey everyone I’ve been flirting with the idea of doin a doubler on my bronco 2, but got to thinking I’m going to need a double cardan shaft like the front has on the rear. With a single case I already almost need one so definitely would with a doubler. How is everyone mating there double cardan to the back of the 1354?

I couldn’t find any 1310 type yokes that would fit in the rear, maybe the front yoke also fits the rear?

I tried this a few years back, not with a double, but because my CV shaft is damaged and I don't want to repair it, and it almost worked. I got flanged yoke off a spare rear drive shaft for an 80s and it fit. My attempt failed because the shaft was too long.

Couple ways you can do it:

1.
Swap your t-case output flange for a double-cardan CV yoke (same yoke as the front output on a 1354), then you can bolt a CV driveshaft up to the rear.

2. (how I did mine, but probably would do #1 if I was doing it over)
Swap the socket-yoke on the driveshaft for a socket flange (Spicer pt# 211229X), which will allow you to bolt the double-cardan CV to your existing t-case flange.

Forgot something! Junkie reminded me.

I put a front output flange on the rear of the transfer case so the double joint would bolt right up. Then I put a rear flange from an 80s Ranger on the single joint end to boot to the axle.

I apologize if I misunderstood anything/this is a dumb response

My 96 2.3 4x4 has a factory double cardan driveshaft in the rear, is there any reason you couldn't get the shaft from a truck like mine and drop it right in? Or lengthen/shorten if needed?

Would need to be shortened.

There's not very many short-bed std-cab 4x4s out there (the only Rangers to have a CV rear shaft)... You'll have a far easier time finding a front driveshaft and shortening that to fit (don't forget the front t-case output yoke too).
