Default the slo-vo ranger build thread...

hey guys decided to start a build thread...starting a little late since ive had the truck for a month or two but better late then never...

the truck...
its a 94' short cab short bed 4.0 5speed 4x4
decent mileage at only 147.xxx miles

here is when i brought it home

ran new exhaust out the passenger side fender with a cheepo thrush muff

mounted the CB in the ashtray spot

started on a headache rack...also truck bed lined the lower panels and bumpers an threw on some half bald 31's that were laying around

welded the spiders up in the 8.8 and threw in some new oil...

starting to get a dew things done, dont have any pictures from today though. went to the jy again today and picked up a few goodies like a brand new looking shiftboot for a manual transfer case and 5 speed also found a truck that had brand new drums and pads so i pelled them off and threw them on my truck which was very needed considering mine were down to rivits...

this next week im going to do some cutting and welding on the radius arms to beef them up since from what im reading they are pretty weak and dont have much tire clearance so i hope to take care of those problems

the mustang is also a blast, its on jackstands right now getting alot of work done

yea i may end up changing the exhaust a little i was in a hurry when i did the tip so i didnt get it exactly how i wanted but it works for now

while i was out this afternoon i stopped and grabbed some 3/16 plate for my radius arms hopefully this weekend i can start cutting on them...while im at it i may get carried away and swap in some rod ends for the rancho poly bushings to help with some flex

welp started cutting on the long arms tonight...i heard that these arms arent the strongest and they dont provide the best tire clearance so im reworking them a little...

this is how they came

im cutting out the side closest to the tires and plating it with some 3/16 which should take care of the tire clearance issue

here is pretty close to how it is going to be (minus the plate) on the tire side..you can see the previos owner of the lift notched slightly for tires so what im doing should gain another inch on top of that...

the other side of the arm will be braced and plated for strength and i may also end up cutting the bushings off and throwing in somerod ends

let me know what you think, sorry i didnt get much done but had a honey doo list to complete lol
