How's your tire clearance on your radius arms?

That'll be my next project, but my Swampers hate the "oem" arms. I'm scared to turn, as not to rip my inner lugs off.

Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 2
I cleaned up the ends of my radius arms so I can turn lock to lock now, and no tire rubbage.

Doesn't seem to be all that sharp though. Maybe the knuckles are longer than d35 knuckles? Maybe I should get a longer pitman arm?

Clutch slave cylinder went out in the truck. If its not one thing its another... its a pisser because I just replaced it little more than a year ago.
Got that replaced, and while I had it out I changed tranny and transfercase fluid. I rebuilt some parts of the tranny not too long ago, so I was happy to see the fluid pretty clean, bar some very small metal shavings that I would expect to see with new gears. The transfercase however smelled terrible and the fluid was black. May be original fluid though...

Get a slave from Advance Auto. They've got an updated one that uses a external clip.

tires are 35×12.50 and wheels are 10inches wide with 4 inches of backspacing. I could have a little more clearance because it's a full width axle.

Dang it! I hate the old clip style. I wish I would have known before i replaced it... :annoyed:

Holy crap, I must've missed that yours was FW... And mine looks to be wider with an EB axle... Dang

I have 35x15.50s on 12" wheels @ 3.5 BS.

Yeah mine rub like crazy, it helps when I cut doughnuts and the inside front tire is caught up in the RA...

I totally know what you mean though. Every time I fix or upgrade something I think that's why I love having a truck. I thought the sas went pretty quick compared to most people's on here haha, I just can't find axles around me for decent price (to me I guess) I'm getting tired of the truck just sittin at the shop and not getting worked on.

I for sure love having a truck for that reason.
Was it? I feel like I've seen sas's in a weekend. maybe I just had too high expectations...
ill sell you a 92 f250 with a d60 and a 10.25....

Dang it! You beat me to it. If I was on a desktop I would have already done it...

Well compared to alot of people, you were herra fast. If I had the money to buy a complete trick id be intetested. I have a little saved up though, hopefully here pretty soon ill be able to start tearing it up, but I need to be able to roll it around at the shop.

Haha im just glad its done... well, kinda done...

Couple kinks to work out...
Even though I only had 230 miles on the new gears, I went ahead and changed the rear diff fluid since I was leaving for school with the truck and didn't want to have to change it later...
I am semi satisfied with the gears, and semi not. Coast side looks pretty good

drive side not so much...

Maybe I'm seeing it wrong. Opinions?

quite a bit of metal on the magnet, but isn't that expected with fresh gears?

Loaded up and ready for the trip to school!!

Can you guess where I'm headed?

halfway on an 8 hour trip

looks like my passenger side inner axle seal is leaking... :annoyed:

I think the oil came out when I put it on the trailer, because the drivers side had to go over the tires on the trailer, which angled the axle. Not really sure what I am going to do about it though. I don't really have the place to pull it apart enough to get to the seals, but I am probably going to need 4x4 when it snows... How big of a deal is it if I just keep adding oil? I don't think it will leak much on flat ground...

For now I'm at school
