Hey guys am I the only who cannot stand the stupid pivoting gas pedal? Not sure what years have it, but my 89 does and it's driving me crazy. And it's not like this is the only vehicle I've seen with a pivoting pedal, it's just that this one feels like complete CRAP.

What are you asking? lol
You push on the pedal and it pivots and pulls on the cable that opens the throttle body. If it feels floppy or low you can go under your dash and pull the pedal up and the cable out. then wrap zip ties around it so that the pedal sits up.

no im talking about the actual rubber pedal pad, and how its mounted on a spring loaded pivot on the lever. its super annoying and difficult to find a comfortable position on.
and yet, on vehicles with solid mounted pedal pads (like my explorer), it feels fine and as it should be. no complaints. |

I never really cared enough to notice something like that. As long as it works.

Only time I ever had a problem with it was when I was trying to teach my sister to drive.
She was pivoting it, not pushing it...and the truck kept stalling. Took a few minutes to work out what the problem was.

Oh... ok got it. yeah my truck has that or both of them do... I'm not really sure... its not too annoying to me... if it did I would just set cruise control.
