Default Hello and a few questions

Hi, new member here, just acquired a 93 Ranger XLT with about 125k. Plan to use it for yard work and Home Depot trips, but currently using it as a daily commuter.

Couple of questions

Don't really have previous records for the vehicle. What should I address in terms of maintenance?

I plan to change the air/oil today.
What type of rear diff/manual transmission fluid should I use? Have zero experience with Fords, I am assuming Redline I use for BMW racecar is not appropriate

Thanks!

The link shows capacities and type, the brand would be your personal preference.

Ah, thanks.

Just noticed a coolant leak :( Looks like from the top of the radiator on the driver's side. Doesn't look like it's coming from the hose either.

The engine's computer will take care of that for you, 6250rpm redline.

Just found out from the previos owner that those were done 3 years ago at 89k miles. What's the frequency on this repair?

Ah, I see.

That's a bit pricey for a truck but, it will run just fine with it.

Just finished oil/tranny/diff and ordered a replacement radiator. How much money do you think Ford saved by not putting a drain plug on the diff?
