Can we have custom ones?

I think having something that changes with post count causes people to post whore. "Oh hell I'm getting close to 100, I'll make some useless posts so I can get that extra wrench", crap like that.

Kinda agree. Quality, not quantity. Just my dos centavos.

People will get caught up in post count almost either way.
True, and I'm not sure why, it's not like a contest, or like you know more than someone else just because you have more posts.

Yeah, I know. That aspect is always there, and it's simply part of any website. But at least there's still plenty of good tech that gets posted, too.

Post counts are gay!! I don't see the point of them and why some people put such stock in them or get this "I've got a higher post count than you" attitude.

C'mon guys, most of it is all in good fun by the guys who do post quite a bit. Some people will start to spam and get flamed then they usually stop but usually they are just spammers and not post count whores.

So far, there is 10x more complaining about people having the possibility of a high post count than people trying to get a high post count.

Post count IS very useful to a forum once it grows to be a little larger. If someone comes in selling something and they have post count of like less than 20 and the deal seems a little shady all of a sudden that post count is warning people to stay away as they've probably just showed up to peddle some fake wares.

I'd like to see how this whole Rep Power thing works out. It could be more meaningful than a post count.

The only thing I ever used a post count for was when I was bored, going to see who the Top 10 Posters of the day was....Its neat to be suprised when you're in that group and you can see who else has had as much time on their hands as you did...

That said, I hate post padding...And I dont think that BUMPS should be counted as posts...but theres no real way to separate the two....

I never even knew how many wrenches I had on the last forum because it was covered by the Premium Member banner...Sure would be cool to have a CANADIAN Premium Banner....:icon_idea::yahoo:

Yeah... still here.
I kinda liked the ones we had before. I'm not too concerned with my post count, I'm usually pretty entertained by just reading what goes on. How does the rep thing work? I'm still a noob when it comes to computers.
