I haven't been on this site for about 16 years now. Sold all my stock of Rangers and Bronco II. I just recently bought a 1992 4x4 Ranger. 4.0 motor, supposedly rebuilt, with manual transmission, manual transfer case. I just have to finish putting it back together. I'm recently chasing a fuel problem, which I believe I found the problem. fuel pump relay.

I'm going to have question in the 4.0 department.

Any how, thought I would drop a 'Hello' here.

Welcome back! I'll not try give you any advice on that, but will ask you one question, did you check the fuel pressure?

Any advice, is good advice Denise. I’ve been following along this tutorial:

http://easyautodiagnostics.com/ford/4.9L-5.0L-5.8L/fuel-pump-relay-tests-3

It shows to test the fuel pressure. I’m not there yet, or do I have. Fuel pressure gauge. It’s worthy of testing though.

Yes, 1992 is a good year. It already has the 4.0 and Dana 35 installed. Older models you have to piece all that together.

Welcome--glad there are some other '92s on the forum--I have two of them at the moment--one stock and one with 5.0.

It is nice to see another Gen 2 show up. I love comparing my '92 to others for "inspiration".
