So like many of us here I have been battling a rough idle for quite awhile. Ive cleaned the MAF and IAC, new fuel filter, air filter, seafoam, plugs, wires, and all kinds of stuff. I decided to get a Screamin Demon coil pack after reading lots of reviews on them and hearing about how much they help. I was pretty hesitant about it but didnt really know what else to do. I was really surprised at how much it really helped. I installed new plugs and set the gap at .065". Smoothed the idle out a lot more than I was expecting. I would recommend this to everyone.

(sorry about the crappy pic)

what does the screamin demon coil packs do? Hotter spark? or just a OEM replacement?

Hotter longer burning spark. It allows you to open up the plugs to a bigger gap so it exposes more spark.

Any fuel economy increase or is it too early to tell?

Yeah I couldnt afford the $170 for coil pack and wires so I just got the coil pack. You can get good wires for much cheaper other places

I got a screamin demon coil pack over the weekend for my truck and put it on and gapped the plugs to .065 like it says but my truck wouldn't start. Is the position where each plug goes different on the screamin demon from the oem one. When I tried starting it it felt like it wasnt firing in the right order.

Thanks Pat
