:icon_confused: I have a 1986 2WD, tk 5, extended cab ranger. I have replaced front and rear ujoints 12K ago. The 60 Kph vibration has come back. I lube the joints every 3K. Should the ujoints wear out so fast?
Thanks for any info.

Do you have a two-piece driveshaft? Check the center support bearing. Also look for floppy flanges/slip joints on either end of the driveshaft. Articulate the U-joints to see if they are floppy (you may have to remove the driveshaft for a good answer). If it all inspects well, rotate the tires and see if the vibration moves from your butt to the steering wheel or vice-versa.

Sounds like a hanger bearing to me also.

Yes it is a 2 part drive shaft. Changing tires has no effect. Greasing ujoints helps for 10 Km.:icon_confused:
