I have sold tons of the 4/5 kits with Doetsch Nitro Slammer shocks as well as the DJM calmax shocks. Everybody seems to love the kit. Most people that have bought them from me have lots of pics and feedback on rangerpowersport.com. You could get away with just trimming down your bumpstops but if you haul stuff with the truck I would look into a notch after you get it lowered and get a feel for it. Also check out my vendor forum on here for all of my links to 98+ ranger lowering products.

I have it and it rides great! I also have a upgraded rear sway bar. I would suggest a bolt in notch but you could live with out it. I was at 5" on the back but I didn't like it lower in the back so I put a lift shackle to bring it up an inch. I have been dropped 4/4 for about 2 years and never had an issue.
Here's a pic of my truck 4/4

My buddy's truck also dropped 4/4

Keep in mind that ext cabs and std cabs are going to drop differently. here's a comparison of our trucks next to each other you can see that mine is lower with the same drop parts.

Wheel and tire combos are also a factor as well.

It took my dad and I a total of about 2 day but that was with a lot of breaks and stubborn rusty bolts

yea if you have good tools and a lift and are very efficiant I'm sure it can be done in like 4-5 hours.
