Agreed, great shackles for the money. I've been running mine for about 3 years now with no problems, excellent flex, and great ride.

The reason you only get 1-1.5" of lift is due to the fact that you're only lifting one end of the spring 2". If you lifted both ends of the spring 2", you would get more like 2" of lift. In fact, it's the exact same reason 1" of spacer under the front coils will net you 1.5" of lift.
