Here it is as it stands (and my other projects peeking out in the first picture)

What I'd like to put on are fender flares- either:
black
or
chrome

Bed rails, either:
black
or
chrome
or
diamond
The tailgate rail is already black...

and maybe a silver bull bar?
Or black?
I just ordered a new grille, the silver one on now is cracked badly. I ordered black a black one.

Some day it'll get new wheels, but today is not that day. I did manage to find a fourth of the stock wheels, so at least they'll all match- one on the other side is a different wheel :D

Is this way too much thought to put into a 2000 Ranger? Absolutely. Am I having fun? You betcha.

I would go with black add-ons. Too much chrome and it will start looking ridiculous. Chrome also has the tendency to not withstand after a few years and start peeling or blemishing. Also the black is easy to paint down the road where as chrome is not. Mustang wheels are easy add-ons that make it look great and are fairly cheap. Most of the time you just need a small spacer to clear everything. The truck is really clean so that's good.

Black would like great on it as stranger said. Look at the dick cepek dc-2's. I love those and they would look good on there. Stainless exhaust tips would look good.

Newer (but not as new as yours) trucks have black plastic bedrail caps, they might have been optional on yours but I am not a newer Ranger expert.

First thing I would do is pick on the wheels.

Wheels... I just don't have the eye for them. Like, I don't see the difference between wheels. I see a set and say "those are nice" and everyone else goes THOSE ARE HIDEOUS or I say "those look awful" and everyone says THOSE WHEELS ARE SO COOL

I... I don't know. :dntknw:

I'm with ya on the wheel thing. I'm still trying to figure out if I should upgrade to 15" or keep my 14". But as for the rest, I would go with black accessories.

Yea I'm leaning to black. Even found a black wheel that I like- but maybe they're poop! I have no idea :icon_twisted:

Anyway, for the time being, I'm going to be SUPER cheap and lazy and paint the stock ones black. Until I feel ok about dropping $$ on new wheels.

Those are nice! Then again, I liked the steel wheels that the winter tires for my Fit were on, so maybe don't take my word for it.

*chuckle* I like simple. If you like simple, too, then our tastes are similar, and my opinion of those wheels that you showed will be worth something to you.

One wheel painted, might as well do the other three until I drop $$ on wheels.
Doesn't look great but I like it better than silver.

The black doesn't look bad. How did you paint it? plasti-dip? If you are good with a brush you could do white accents like a white pin strip around rim or on the center cap. It would help offset that "so much black" look those wheels have.

why has no one mentioned TRS stickers for the windows yet?!

I agree with nixing the chrome. black accents will make it look nice. I would probalby *not* do any fender flares tho, I think that would take away from the looks.

There needs to be better options for stickers. I never found one out of the few they offer that I just had to have. I'm all for supporting it but I don't like a bright blue sticker on a green truck. Things need to match and the sticker selection sucks.

Paint your truck blue.
