Hopefully in about 60 months, there will be more 2wd street Ranger offerings from the crew in Dearborn, MI.

It is a four cyl turbocharged engine that displaces approximately two liters. :icon_thumby:

Probably not much of an issue since it is either new or nearly new but watch for signs of abuse. Long oil change intervals, coolant leaks etc, newer engines especially turbocharged ones will not like that. I think they are related to the Ranger's 2.3 and one has been swapped into a Ranger... otherwise I don't know much about them.

It's underpowered for a mid sized SUV... I went from a 3.7 naturally aspirated V6 in my MKX to the 2.0 turbo in the Edge and the edge feels like a slug by comparison. Not a fan of the 10 speed trans either but that might just take getting use to. It just feels like it shifts too damn much and never let's the engine get into the power band.

But it's not ment to be fast and I just like to complain because I miss my MKX...

If you don't like this car so much, just sell it and change it. I would do that if I were you. If you don't have enough money, you can take out a small loan to buy the car you dream of. You can read more information about this on the website https://www.moneyexpert.com/loans/loans-and-credit-ratings/, search here for the best loan offers. They will help you find the best loan offers for you. You set up filters, specify all the necessary information, starting from the price range to the loan term, and you get a lot of offers, having only to choose. Why put up with a car that you don't like when you can easily change it?

What are the best deals in 2020?
I ended up staying in the Santa Fe. Thanks to some negative equity🤬, but Ford has some really good deals right now. But Hyundai has more standard features, like lane assist, blind spot monitoring, auto start/stop, auto dimming headlights, and much more, than the other companies upcharge for.

The scourge that is start-stop has infiltrated the Ford lineup. I think about everything smaller than a '150/expy has it. :annoyed:

The rest of the listed crap I have no use for either.

I agree. There is a weird feeling when the car corrects itself and centers in the lane. I generally swerve between the lines, but the Santa Fe eliminates it. My wife drives it 95% of the time. She love it, so I love it.

the grey-t escape
I think gen 2 escapes are the best deal lately. Almost a year ago I got a 2011 V6 awd and love it. low 20’s mpg, decent tow vehicle (for no more than I tow) great heater & a/c, good in the snow, decent factory sound system, comfortable to drive & ride in. Fold down the seats and you can fit quite a bit in there. Paid $5K for mine, I get to drive it on weekends as its Bren’s ride to work. You can put some accessories on it but don’t expect the grille guard to keep deer damage down, it fastens to the front core support. I dont think anything modern is built to bounce deer off of. Doesnt have any of the stupid crap that the newest cars have, and traction control can be shut off. Has almost 150K on it. Daughter got one this summer, a base model 4cyl front drive.
