I have a question that my local dealers cannot seem to answer conclusively.

Will the USB ports allow for playing music in MP3 format directly from a thumbdrive? My Hyundai Santa Fe allows this (actually even the lowest Hyundai car has this feature) and it is possible to load the contents of 40 CDs on a 4GB drive and access it directly via the factory standard radio/sound system.

I will probably need to bring one to the dealerships to see if it actually works, but they would not let us try the iPhone interface when we were there, so I have my reservations.

Thanks.

That was the primary purpose of including the USB ports in the system.

Thanks guys.

I was hoping that was the case rather than just having it for phone charging and playing music from a smartphone.

Lol well not so fast... aparently they dont charge phones too well. There was another thread not too long ago about how the usb ports suck for charging phones.

USBs in the front are for connection to sync, USBs in rear of console are for charging.
