remember the dakota r/t with a 360? that was probably quite a ride, yeah-street truck only (2wd) Ive had a better appreciation for older mopars lately, not sure why as Ive never considered myself a chrysler fan, must be these shows on motor trend television.
A kid drove his dad's to high school once back in the day.

He got a bill for the holes he burned in the schools new parking lot... his dad was not happy.

If it wasn’t for the double bail out and the craptastic reliability of their transmissions, I would get one. I love the looks and concept of Jeeps, I just don’t want to support a car company that should have gone out of business a long time ago nor the repair bill that comes built in with a Fiat Chrysler product.
Maybe, but the jeep trackhawk will suck the headlights out if any ford car or truck ever produced, period.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

If you think a Dakota with a 360 and two wheel drive street only is bad, you should really try and drive a 99 - 04 Lightning sometime. Two wheel drive, single cab, 5.4 V-8 with an Eaton blower on top making 8 pounds of boost, stock. Even stock, the 9.5 inch rims and 295/45-18 tires just go up in smoke when you drop the hammer. The one I have listed in my sig line, is decidedly not stock. I run 305/45-18 Nitto NT555R drag radials in the back, and they jsut go up in smoke when you suddenly drop the hammer. LMAO!

The only thing FORD could do now that would interest me, is the Lightning Bolt. A mini truck Ranger with the Lightning motor and drive train. That I would buy. Anything else, meh!

One of these days, I'd love to pull statistics from the database of the number of posts you've made that reference your Lightning.

I actually made the recommendation for Ford to bring the lightning back on the new Ford Ranger. Lowered with a 3.5 EcoBoost.

Even a 2.7 would scoot.
