Lots of big ?'s... like what the heck is the deal with the F-14 at the end? Better not be making Maverick shoot down F-14's...

I never got through the first 5 minutes of the first one and the trailer already shows the usual unbelievable BS. Not on my list of movies to see. It's painful to watch movies about stuff you actually know something about because you were one of those guys.

I was a little kid the first time I watched it. Story was meh but the planes were fascinating. I made my own carrier out of 2x4 and 1x6 scrap for my micromachines. I had F-16's (actually Thunderbirds), my brother had F-14's and both operated off of the carrier against our nemesis... a MIG-21. :icon_rofl:

They really piqued my interest though with the '14. The only moderately airworthy F-14's in the world are in Iran... last I heard the US is down to one left in storage sealed up that hasn't been totally gutted for a museum or shredded... not that the Top Gun franchise is overly worried about accuracy but I look forward to seeing what that is about.

What did you do when you were in? (if you don't mind)
