Hi, I'm looking for a little help on switching some seats out. I have a 2007 Ford Ranger standard cab. It currently has vinyl seats. Which I don't mind but the drivers seat is starting to come apart. I found a replacement set from a 2003 Ford Ranger extended cab. With only 75,000 miles or so on the seats.

I was told the seat numbers match but the tracks are a different order number. I'm thinking the seats should work but the tracks might be different with mine being a standard cab and with these coming out of a extended cab Ranger. Would anyone know if the tracks are interchangeable between a 2003 and 2007 model year? Is it even possible to switch out tracks?

This is a new one for me. I appreciate any help. Thanks for the time!

The '07 seats should swap over to your '03 tracks just fine as long as it's not a "bench to bucket" swap

Thanks Ranger850. I haven't even looked but are the tracks and seat bolted together? I wouldn't imagine the two pieces are welded together. I've taken the seats out before when cleaning but I've never looked to see how the track and seats are held together.

There are 4 torques (star pattern) bolts that hold the seat to track to the truck. remove those, and flip the seat upside down. You should see 4 smaller bolts (10mm I think) that hold the seat to the track. remove those and swap seats, replace the four small bolts and replace seats into truck.

Thanks Ranger850. I'm looking at 2.5 hour road trip for the seats. I'd hate to burn up the time if the tracks were way off or needed to be majorly customized for fitment. I appreciate the time to help me out. Much appreciated!
