I’ve got my sights on another bronco ii to use as a donor for mine. Before I give up completely on my 2.9 I want to look into the 18 KOER (spout grounded) code I’m getting. The yellow and green spout wire runs from the plug to the ecm on the PS kicker and the solid yellow also runs to the ecm as well I believe. When I check for ground I should have none correct? Does it matter if the ecm is connected to the harness when I check or if the truck is running? And finally has anyone had any experience with this code? I found some threads on the ford trucks forum that talked about a coolant sensor possibly popping the code. Im not sure what parameters I should be looking for when I check the spout wire with a multimeter
