I just fully rebuilt my sons 2.9 in his 89 Bronco II. I have everything installed and it just turns over and won't fire. Only issue I can find is a female plug directly under the master cylinder that I cannot find a male counterpart. Anyone tell me if theirs is empty or what goes there.

Manual
Master reservoir fluid level switch plug in?

If manual trans can be unused NSS wires

Make sure ground strap from head to firewall got hooked back up

50/50 test
spray gasoline into the engine, crank it
If it starts and dies then no fuel injectors
If it doesn't start then no spark

Test coil for 12v key on, AND......12v while cranking, actually 9.5-10.5v but should have voltage

Strap is there. Coil is firing. I get an arc from coil wire and plug wires. Fuel is firing. Plugs have a fuel smell.

On the wheel well there are multiple harness plugs. The plug closest to the engine under the master cylinder is empty. I am betting this was empty before because I have no other harnesses left to plug in.

I worked on finishing the assembly yesterday and the last hour trying to get it to start. I think I may be 180 out. Im going at it again after work.

Thanks for the update and congrats.

Happens all the time... or someone will get the cam timing off.
