95' should have a D35 up front. I'd swap in an explorer 8.8 for strength and disk brakes to stop the bigger meats. Hp doesn't make up for a lack of gearing, put 5.13's in it and the blower, then it'll move good.

Not a 2wd..
What are you running for hubs then? I see chrome center caps on the front wheels, that's why I asked.

Oh boy.... Dana 28/35's are the front TTB axles found in Rangers/BroncoII/Explorers.

7.5/8.8 are the rear axles, like in your Mustang....

Looks good! I'd definately get some gears, my 3.0 with 33's and 3.73 gears can barely get out of its own way. Plus any wheelin with those meats are gonna break stuff!

If it's a 95, it'll be the D35, as long as case is ribbed, its real and not the "hybrid-35".

So you have to remove the tires & center caps to lock the hubs? I see....:icon_confused:

If your front diffrential is smooth with no ribs, it's a D35 housing with D28 guts = Hybrid. Don't waste the $$$ swapping in 4.10's, do 5.13's trust us. We've done it before, learn from our mistakes, lol.

Thanx for the Tip.. I have a Set 4.10s from my old Ranger that I never
put in.. If I could get 2 sets of 5.13s for $200 Total I would..
The 4.10s are already "Set Up".. Just have to Put/Bolted in...

Thanx,
Rob

Facts, I have seen

Doing any wheeling at all with 38s and IFS do not mix especially if any sort of locker is involved (too many moving parts to break). My 2.9 turns 38s sufficently with 5.13s, still does 75 down the highway and is plenty slow in low. 38s are perfect tires for the weight of a mid sized pickup. As for the lift, only add as much as needed (seen alot of tall roll wher lower rigs don't) and body lifts look like crap go with suspension, or cut the fender wells.

just trying to get a handle on how much lift you have exactly..

skyjacker 6" system, so 4" lift leaves, stock block,

6" front coils, and a 1.5" spacer under the coils?
