Hi, the passenger side parking brake cable on my 1984 Ranger with the equalizer nut has seized. There's really nothing to grip on to get a good amount of torque on the nut to break it loose. I've tried heat and penetrating fluid and nothing. Any ideas on getting the nut unstuck? Also, how do you adjust the main cable? It seems like its a solid assembly. Thanks, Lucas.

Goober it up good with nickel anti-seize and heat it with a propane or butane torch until the anti-seize melts.

If that doesn't work you will need to cut the nut, or get it in a nut cracker, both of which means getting the equalizer out of the vehicle first.
