I recently bought a tubular bumper for my 1996 Ranger.

I took off the original style bumper to see how it mounts.
After taking some measurements (See pics in this post) it looks like it will work, but I need new brackets.

I'm not sure if there are brackets available to purchase, or if I'll need to make custom brackets.

If any of you know where I can buy brackets, or have ideas for mounting, please let me know.

Here's how the bumper looks placed by the mounts. It almost looks like a piece of angle steel could be used.

Here's how I hope it looks when everything is finished:

I'd just use some 1/4" thickness angle iron myself. That's what I used when making my custom tube (air storage tank) bumper for my old 89 Ranger.

I would remove the four bolts( circled in green) and see if the factory mounting brackets (red outline) would work befor I even tried to fab something. Your outside to outside measurements on both bumpers were only different by 1/8". That's do-able in my book.
