Of all the diagnostic tools I have used on Ford's EEC-IV system this style of the Snap-On Solus is my favorite:

Snap-on solus scanner tool with 3 personality keys (keys alone are about 30 dollars each). Tool works great sometimes but recently started showing an error code, I can let it sit for couple days then it will work as it should. Also battery holder has one clip missing so when used with batteries...
