Was in the FS Bronco club for a few months, but I decided that was too much truck for me. I sold it and bought this B2 that I found locally on offerup. 78k miles, new engine with 1100 miles on it, new clutch, and overall great shape. Needs a little work here and there, but drives great and is mechanically sound for the most part. Notable mechanical issues: 4x4 and Low Range do not engage. I'm thinking it might be the transfer case motor. The engine does physically wobble slightly, I think the motor mount on one side might need to be replaced. The body mounts need to be replaced. Reasonable amounts of rust throughout, but nothing terrible.

Inside, headliner is sagging in the front. Some of the dash panels are cracked. The seatbelts don't retract unless the doors are open (pretty concerned about this one. Need to dig deeper) On the outside, there was some body rust, but the previous owner (only 1 owner before me) had it repainted. They didn't smooth out the rust, just painted over it. When they painted it, look like they covered up the mounting points for the spare tire carrier. I can see where the wholes were on the bottom of the right rear headlight, but I can't seem to see where the latch is supposed to be mounted on the tailgate. Unless anybody has some pics for reference, I probably open up a thread later to ask.

Happy to be here.

Thank you! Plan is to keep it in the best condition and as stock as possible. I want to clean up the frame and spray it with rust reformer (and maybe rubber undercoating). I’ll probably have it repainted so the body shop can properly clean up the body of rust since there are some areas that are obviously painted over. Most importantly, I’ll get a vintage plate for the clout.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
