I Recently bought a used transmission for my truck, New Filter, installed it. Added Mercon V to the correct level. Now when I go to Drive it, I put it in Drive, it doesn’t engage. I have to rev it super high for it to pop into drive, once it’s popped into drive, it’ll drive fine. Shifts fine. As soon as I put it into park, back to drive, no change, have to rev it super high again to get it to engage. Reverse works fine. What could be the problem. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

My credo
If you can’t fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem
Make sure you have the correct filter and did you put new or reuse the o rings from your old filter?

Yes, brand new filter and o rings. Could it be a sensor or something?
