1988 Ford Ranger (GT) - $2500 - Kentucky

I have a 1988 Ford Ranger GT up for sale. motor has been replaced with a 5.0 and automatic trans. Truck is running and will drive but needs trans work. it's not a show truck but definitely a good start to a fast truck. sorry about the dirt but it's parked in the barn.

No idea why you would keep it auto on a 5.0 swap though.

Sometimes ya just run what ya got. When I bought my 5.0 engine, I had to buy it with the AOD, so I tried using it. Got it all in the truck, hooked up and ready to go. The OD band was burnt so I switched to a new T5Z and I'm really glad I did. But if the AOD was good I'd probably still be running it.

Wow. Dat wiring. Among other things... check out the floor full of acorns. I bet that thing is gross all over. No HVAC box, no fan shroud, oil filter in a real nice location.

Maybe a good start to a project if the body is solid but I feel like I'd have to take it all apart and start over from scratch.

Why not? If I ever do mine it's getting a reverse manual valve body trans braked c4...

Yeah, he's definitely got it priced way too high, but I see nothing that can't be fixed. Rip out the carpet, wash the cab with bleach water and detergent, install vinyl/rubber flooring.. Tidy up the wiring. Find a heater plenum.. It would certainly make a good project truck.
