Hello,
I just wanted to introduce myself. New to Rangers (and Ford’s), but not new to working on cars. I have lurked on this board since last year. I currently own a 2004 2.3 5speed XL. I bought the Ranger, because among other cars I have 2006 Miata. I recently did a 2.5 Fusion engine swap to the Miata. Internet research brought me to the ranger station a few times. I have always admired the looks of the Rangers, and I really enjoy the 2.0/2.3/2.5 engines. So I thought buying a ranger was the next fun project. Plus I can have something to haul mulch and homeowner things.
I have restored some cars, done a LS Swap on a GM, played around with some turbos, etc.
This forum has been very helpful! I have already re-built the front end, Changed out the clutch/flywheel + hydraulics, and replaced a lot of the coolant system. Great truck, super handy and super easy to work on! I am getting ready to move onto the next phase in my ranger ownership, and I will make a post on it later…
