I heated the garage last winter with kerosene and it was pretty expensive...$300, but that was mostly due to not having finished the ceiling with drywall...now there is a natural gas heater in there and the ceiling is finished...

I've noticed a significant increase in the price of oil over the years, but, like you say, it doesn't fluxuate like gasoline...I didn't keep downgrading my oil brand when I was doing oil changes once a month...but recently switched to a high mileage oil to help keep the engine running smooth...

Oh, and gas dipped below a buck again this week...Yippeee!

Only in Ontario. Still at 1.15+ out in BC.

We don't have all the politicians here so we always pay more.

Feel sorry for you Canadian's. Here in Connecticut where gas is high I am paying $2.40 per gallon. So 4 liters would work out to arond $2.75 give or take.

Well, it's down to $0.918 today and has been hovering there all week...I really should fill up my four containers in case it jumps back up...or put some in the Ranger...not sure about the conversion price, but it usually works out higher than what you pay south of the border regardless...

Its under $2 per gallon in many states now. I hope the people in North America continue to conserve or the price will just shoot up again. Speaking of liters, money conversion stuff. I recently traveled up to Toronto. I have no clue what I paid to fill my tank up because I paid in Uncle Sam dollars and the liter thing on the gas pumps instead of gallons confused me. I really think the guy could see I had no clue and ripped me off.

Usually they give you the exchange rate at gas stations...TO might have some smaller places that don't do that though...most places are honest (although the price of gas isn't) and will not rip you off...

If there is not much differnce in currencies they will take the money at par though...that was nice when I was in Florida a few years back (like 16 years ago)...Canadian cigarettes at $11 a carton and they took Canadian money at par...
