I was a bit bored and saw some DVD's in Wal-Mart...the sales girl showed me the FARGO series and said it was really good...

I just watched the first episode and found it both funny and very well filmed...amazing detail and filmography...

Just wondering if anyone else has watched it and what the opinion is...

I liked the movie.

Wasn't expecting much from the series, but was very impressed, really liked it

The first season was decent, but then they go and change the whole cast for the second season and it looked super boring to me.

I saw the reviews for the movie but not the series when I searched...since I'd already bought the first series I figured if I liked that I'd think about seeing the movie some day...

I just got a free offer from my service provider for movies for 3 months...although it looked like I got the service for free movies for two years...until I read the fine print...lol

As per usual...eh! I liked the first show but haven't been able to watch more of it yet...but thanks for the feedback...I might pass on the second and later seasons if they changed everything...I really dislike it when they do that...it's like you can't even bond with your favourite characters any more...like the old days with Archie Bunker...Married with Children...all those great shows that kept the cast for several years.

But, then again...there is a huge hole in your life when they finally cancel the show and then you need to find another fix...or get a life...:)

The movie is set in 1987, the first season of the TV series is set in 2006

for the second season they jumped back in time to 1979 so a cast change was kind of REQUIRED
(Did you miss the episode where they are actually with the "Reagan for President 1980" campaign bus?)

The First season is set in time AFTER the movie.
In the last episode of the series they flash back to the guy finding the ransom cash from the movie. then second season they flash backwards ~20 years...
shortly after the guy buries it in the snow...

The third season will again have an entirely different cast and characters and will be set in 2010, starring Ewan McGregor

You gotta keep up with the time shifts or the cast is the least of your worries
none of it makes any sense...
