Coil difference?

So the coils were cracked before I started doing my drop. So I went to the pick and pull and got some coils out of a ‘97 extended cab 2wd,(all they had), for my ‘95 reg cab. I cut 3/4” of a coil out and I still couldn’t even get them in, let alone drop it a bit, (along with beams of course). I ended up cutting about 1-1/2 coils out. Either way, are the coils different from reg cab to extended cab? Or maybe the previous owner had swapped them before it got junked. Thanks much, Jason.

Doing things wrong, until I get it right.
I'm no Expert, but the EC would have a heavier cab, so I could see the reason for stronger springs out front.
Ratchet straps and a pry bar are good to have when working with springs btw
