I have a 91 Luk slave cylinder and I cannot for my life I s a clutch line that will fit the slave. I’ve payed under the truck for days and pushed. Cracked the bleeder, ordered 3-4 differ t yr clutch lines. Nothing is working. I’m positive the slave is for a 91 ranger. Does anyone know what clutch line I need. Please tell me a part number or a company to call. I

What's an Luk ? Those lines can be very difficult to push in. The slave has one that has to be pushed in to release, and, the clutch line has one that has to be pushed in to release, between the two it can be very difficult, specially when you're flat of your back and trying to just reach it.

The last slave i got was a Power Torque CS2248, from Oreilly's I believe. It connects different from any others I've seen, although it is still very hard to push in, it has a notch on each side for a lock pin that slips in behind a collar on the line connector, and you can shine a light there to see when the collar clears the notch, then slip the pin on and it's there. I really like this one best, even tho it's still rather difficult to get in

Well, I would post a picture of it but see no way to do that now :/

Luk is the manufacture of the slave. How do I get it to snap in? Plyers? I can’t put it in by hand. It shouldn’t be this hard?

it is, and it's slick, and usually has oil on it too.
it takes me both hands to get it in enough to latch in place(even tho with the clip method it doesnt exactly latch, the collar simply clears the pin slot (tho the spring seal still gets compressed) and the pin(or clip) locks it in
Using that tool is very similar, it has to be pushed in enough for the two seals to mesh and the spring to be engaged enough to lock that collar, however it works on that set

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
it is a pia in the best case.....absolutely put you in rage rhino mode generally speaking working on a rustbelt truck more then 1 winter old.

Hope you've figured this out by now but I just dealt with this same issue a couple nights ago. One of two things is going on:

Most likely is that you're not pushing hard enough to get it to clip in.

However! I just did a trans replacement on a 1993 Explorer. I used an FM146 from an '88 Ranger that had slightly different slave cylinder, which also happened to have a different quick connect end on the hose. Very similar, but different - the '93 hose would slip into the slave but not clip into place. I ended up using a hose from an older truck. It's possible that you're dealing with something like this.
