Did I see you driving on beddington the other day? If it was you, you probably didn't notice me because I'm in a taco now.

it is a shame we have lost you to the yotas. I dont blame ya tho I have been looking at the FJ cruiser quite a bit.

Holy commute!!

I would have loved to stay with a ranger but the tacomas are so much more ahead of the rangers.

Still alive now? I see your area got hit hard.
i need to fix my Email notification.... anyways our area was high and dry. we had more damage back in 2005. I think we lost a few walking paths and thats about it. I was down in High river volunteering the following week and they got devastated.

Has anyone here ever got together and went wheeling/cruising? been sweet to meet some fellow ranger owners that are on here.

I dont think there are any ranger groups in the city. I know weezle would go out with the toyota group. Along with going to the monthly meeting at peters. Basshead and myself would also go, now I have a toyota so I spend more time on their forum. Check out ct4wd.com they have dates up for all the things happening

calgary is so last year, vancouver's where it's at now...

how the hell did you bastards not tell me about this thread when I lived out there?

also, to the OP, i would totally have put a body lift in your truck (with you) for nothing more than the cost of beer to cover the labor, and 1 extra case! i've done 3 of them now, 2 rangers (mine, & basshead's) and a sport trac got the last one down to about 8 hours plus bumpers

dang, too bad you don't live out here anymore weezl!!! Really don't want undertake a project i don't know much about aside from what I read. I am a great DIY mechanic and fix anything on my truck I can but I HATE rust.

I should also mention that the oldest truck I did the lift on was anthony's and I think his is a 98 at the oldest! but i'm thinking 03? I forget now...

the instructions in the PA-883? kit are pretty straight forward, they explain things pretty well. Tools you will need that aren't listed are a bottle jack, I highly recommend a bottle jack specifically, a small piece of strong pipe, 2"x1/8 dom about 3" long should work, a LOT of wd40 or other penetrating oil of your choice that works well, and a good torch, I would recommend something a little hotter than propane, either mapp or acetylene

that and the best tool you can have is TRS

Why would you need a bottle jack vs a typical garage floor jack?

a bottlejack just seemed to work better for us, the floor jack, because it comes up and moves sideways at the same time, when you're trying to put pressure on a piece of pipe, on the bottom of the body mounts, just tends to go crooked...
