We were promised pics!

To me, BlackBII's pics adequately expressed the concept of a tank being mounted behind the axle.

BlackBII's chassis is also a much finer example.

1996 f250 auxiliary tank works BUT its only 19 gallons. Not to bad, just have to stop more often and stretch the legs on trips.

Here is the key mounting strategy for the BII tank forward, behind the Ranger axle;

There are some pre-drilled holes in the Ranger frame. 2 holes forward of the bumper (on the lower frame) is the hole I used to relocate the Rangers rear cross member piece. Use those holes for the new bottom attach point for the Ranger's rear cross member. Next hang the tank with BII straps and mark where the BII's forward tank support cross member holes lay. This puts the tank exactly where it should be if mounted forwards.

Installing the BII's forward tank support was facilitated by removing the driver's side rear shock tower mount, then reinstalling with bolts.

I will be taking it apart in the near future, I will take some more pics to clarify.
