My evap system was working fine, from what I could tell, until the tank was overfilled by a broken pump. Which was a few days after I bought the truck.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
That other tube might be your differential vent tube.

That hose looks preformed... to big to be an axle vent... and no one way breather on it. It sure looks like it is from the EVAP system.

I always try to get under vehicles I buy and have a good look. Or pay an inspection fee to have it looked over on a lift.

Yeah, I regret this purchase a little bit. Didn’t look hard enough at the frame, we thought it looked strong enough. Looks like I’ll be popping the bed off in the near future to address it. Anyone know if these fords have particular issues with key off parasitic draw?

I wouldn't beat yourself up to bad... it's hard to find everything. If the rest of the truck is worthy... that can be fixed. It's nothing that us guys from the rust belt haven't had to deal with before.

True that, Uncle Gump. I just didn’t expect to have to deal with this many little issues.
