So i pulled the key and cylinder the lil black box by the key the pats module behind the pass air bag the black box behind the radio next to the cluster the pcm in the firewall the entire engine and engine bay harness the lil box back in the driver side rear fender the instrument cluster the only thing I didnt take out was the dash harness and the harness from the box in the rear fender to the center console. Will that box and harness from the back of the vehicle to the frpnt be needed when swapping into a 99 or newer?

you have a 4cyl so your truck didn't have pats. Pull the entire steering column from the mountaineer and put it in your truck. (most 4 cyl didn't have tilt steering so you would gain that as well if you don't already), you have to wire the pats in manually.

or you can just run a SCT x4 to just bypass pats all together no need to mess with it, and also be able to tune the truck in the future and correct the speedo if it is off form trans, tires, axle gear changes if needed..
