it doesn't work, Now that I can actually spend time driving my truck, I'd like to start checking out the cruise control. , First questions, I don't remember seeing a brake pedal switch, would they be separate? or is the brake pedal switch dual purpose I haven't a really started looking yet.

No separate switch on brake pedal, Cruise controller is deactivated when it gets 12v from the brake switch, and from Clutch switch in manual trans

In 1994 Cruise is power by Fuse #6 10amp in cab fuse box
It also must be connected to the VSS speed sensor which is with speedometer cable on trans or transfer case
Steering wheel buttons are powered by Fuse #8

There is a safety vacuum release, on the brake pedal power booster inside the cab, it won't prevent cruise from being set, i.e. light comes on, but it will prevent it from working
Cruise servo uses vacuum to pull and hold throttle open, this "dump valve" is a backup for the electrical cut off

This really isn't a high priority and I haven't even started on other things.

Too hard to steer and maintain speed Dirtman :)

Just get a rock and roll it over to hold gas pedal down

Or for a more custom job, get an old Choke cable and hook it to throttle

Yes, in the mid 1980's Ford started using VSS sensor on the speedo cable hookup for computer and electric shift automatics(A4LD), also for Cruise Control
