So since the 5.0 probably spun a bearing. I have no oil pressure even testing with a gauge. Im thinking about putting a 351w roller motor in I found one for $350 under 80k on it I know Im gonna have to change a bunch of things to make it work but if the A9l mass air computer will work that just makes it easier and cheaper according to LMR the mustang ecm will work with a 351w I think that m5odr2 transmission will bolt up but im sure it will break. I plan picking up this motor regardless if it goes in the ranger or not. I always wanted a notch back or a fox body with T tops so ill store it for that.down the road. But either way that 5.0 had to come back out at some point. I have another 5.0 from a 89 crown vic lying around but the pistons are different so I guess I can use that crank if mine is messed up. And but new bearings in or I found a company that sells short blocks for less than 1k. Or I could get a JY explorer motor and put my heads and cam in etc if they are not ruined.

I THINK the light duty 5.8 F-250's with a manual got the M5R2.

EFI stuff I got nuthin'. If this is going in your '90 you will need a dual sump oil pan for a 5.8 interceptor Crown Vic.

Of course exhaust will need changed and belt drive setup may need work too.

I'm not so sure that any F250 had an M5R2. I would be shocked... really shocked... if they did. I've only seen ZF 5 speeds in 3/4 ton trucks.

Exhaust might be a problem, it's tight enough on the 302.

Hopefully someone will chime in, 351w swaps have been done in the Ranger platform before.

Yes... There are a ton of 351w Mustangs that are still running the A9 computer. You're best bet would be to check some Mustang forums... They'd know.

Also all F250s with 351Ws got the ZF 5 speed.

F150s ran the M5R2 with a 351.

No they didn't, the M5OD was never offered behind a 351W. You could get a 4 spd behind a 351 on the older trucks, but the newer f150s w/ the 351 were all automatics.

You sure about that?

Ive seen a few 92-96 351/5speed trucks....they are rare, but out there.

5.7 hemi or 360 will probably fit right in there...

Im sure it will but one of those is going in a D50 I found. Im kind of a purist when it comes to certain things, Even though I would love a nice 360 or 440 or a 6.2. I have to jump on this 351w its too good to pass up.
