2010 ranger 8.8 rear axel

have to replace l/rear axel bent wheel flange. want ot order part before dis-assembly.vendor lists two different axel lengths. can I determin the correct length w//out pulling the axel and tying up my truck?

If you looked it up by application and got two lengths then you need the longer one. The diff on most Ford pickups is off set slightly to the passenger side so that the driveshaft angles away from the fuel tank.

friendly FYI
the 2010 8.8 axles are different that earlier versions.
they are 28 spline, big 1.6xx wheel bearings, and have ABS rings attached.
