I had a spare key cut, just the 2$ ones so i can open the door. I heard that if i take my (only) good key and have it near the ignition with just the reg key in the ignition it will start the truck. I tryed all around the coloum with no luck. Has anyone else heard of this?

Was going to search but didn't know what to really look for.

Thanks

No this will not work. The lock get the signal from the key . You cant just have the electronics key near the console. If you notice sometimes the keys that will only lock/unlock the doors are 3/32 smaller. That extra length is what triggers the code in the key.
