2.3 and the 3.0 do they share the same bell housing on the 5 speed transmission from 1991-97

Is the 2.3 transmission the same bell housing as the 3.0 from 1991--1997 ford rangers for the 5-speed stick shift

no. 3.0 is vulcan.

Nope. The 3.0, 2.3sohc, 2.3dohc, and 4.0 all have different bell housings. Only the 2.9 and 4.0 share the same bell housing.

2.8 also shares 2.9/4.0 pattern. There's also the single bolt change between OHV and SOHC 4.0's, but that's not critical.
