great article .....how the hell can i criticize any of the current offerings. i like them all...but i do have the exact same wish list...so i guess i can...

i have only briefly driven the current toy/jeep/chevy/ford offerings, but the ranger did exceed my expectations.... save for it rides quite a bit harder then the colorado. of the people i know with the newer colorado.... 3 for 3 with the 3.6 have had multiple torque converter failures on 17 and newer trucks. but the diesel guy is still doing ok. hopefully the ranger aces all of this.

but for 40-50 g,s....

but i do want a bigger bed like rusty...

want a 5 foot bed that extends to an 8 foot bed and loads heavy shit into itself while i drink beer and watch. and drive me around after i whistle for it to pick me up.

i dont think that is asking too much for 45 - 50 grand. the current offerings for 45 grand....i say that is bullshit....they barely talk to you.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

That sounds sorta nice.

i might be a little on the ambitious side with those demands....

5 foot to 7 foot is probably more reasonable on second thoughts....

You known if you get your wish that you will have to start giving trucks time off with pay and holidays and garage (medical) leave and some kind of minimum wage bullshit....

That 97-03 style trucks seemed to be even tighter in the back then the 92-96s did.
I wouldn't trade the rear suicide doors for a hair more room...

The 2019 replaced an SUV, so I needed the people space over bed space. I have the 2011 for bed space. Though, a crew cab with a 6’ bed would be nice. But then, it would kinda defeat the benefit of a shorter truck on trails.

The 2019 isn’t that much bigger than the 2011 to be a big detriment. Anything bigger might be too much.
Tacoma has it as an option, in my little wish list I would like that option if available. I don't think it would be much longer wheelbase than my '150. The current wheelbase wouldn't turn with my '85 on a trail anyway.

I considered it but I have a friend in commercial sales with Ford. I would rather give the commission to a friend and put food on his table rather than some stranger.

It might sound petty but I'd like an old school 6.5' bed. Can't we get just 6 more inches of bed length?

when the time comes that i really want a 4 door ranger....i will just make my own bed anyway. likely 6.5 foot as a compromise.
