Ok, How hard would it be to swap a Gm 4l60 / 80 in? I know they both use a shifter cable, that there are shift controllers, and that the crossmember and drive shaft would have to be modified. Has anyone done it?

I’m pullin the old gas guzzling 4.0 ohv, and intend to use a 4 cylinder mechanical injection diesel. Either a Deutz, Perkins, 4bt, or and old 1.5/1.6 Vw tdi.
