Do the adapter plates for an Alh/Ahu engine fit an AAZ? From what I’ve read the bellhousing pattern is the same, but how about the crank bolt pattern? I want to 1.9 swap my ranger using a gm 700r4, and there is an adapter kit for the alh/ahu to the 700r4. Will it fit the older mechanical...
Also,
How do I choose my shift points with a 700r4 if it’s not computer controlled? How does a megashifter work? Is it like driving a manual without a clutch?
Ok,
How hard would it be to swap a Gm 4l60 / 80 in? I know they both use a shifter cable, that there are shift controllers, and that the crossmember and drive shaft would have to be modified. Has anyone done it?
I’m pullin the old gas guzzling 4.0 ohv, and intend to use a 4 cylinder mechanical injection diesel. Either a Deutz, Perkins, 4bt, or and old 1.5/1.6 Vw tdi.
Ok,
Fine, regardless, the engine I would be looking to use have no more than 250 ft. lbs. of torque. Anyways,
Bake to the main subject. Does anyone know of a shift controller?
Ok,
But from what I’ve read, the 4r44e is rated for 440 ft. lbs., and the 4r55e is rated for 550 ft. lbs.

Do any of you know about a shift controller for my ranger? I intend to diesel swap,
But would like to stick with the auto. I have seen the controllers the have been used on 4l60 diesel swaps, and was curious if there is anything for the ranger / explorer trans. Thanks guys
