I've been searching the postings and I can't seem to find out how to adapt the 6 pin connector on the explorer engine harness to the rangers body harness located roughly underneath master cylinder. I'm using the engine harness, computer and pats system from explorer.
Any ideas? It sounds like its been done a million times before me.
Thanks

On my '99 to '99 Explorer to Ranger swap, the connectors were the same but the genders were reversed. I just reused the engine side of that connector from the 3.0 harness and soldered the wires on the V8 harness to the matching pinout on the body side connector. You should be able to do the same.

That sounds like exactly what I'm up against, my ranger was a 4.0L. The wires had different gauges so I wasn't confident in just splicing the explorer body harness in.

You shouldn't need to touch the body side of the harness. Just go to the harness for your 4.0 engine and remove the body connector (plus a few inches of wire) from it, then snip off the same connector on the V8 engine harness and reuse the 4.0's connector.

I can take a picture this evening of my completed connectors. Not sure if they'll match your 2000 or not. I don't remember having any issues with wire colors, but it's been a while.

I'm sorry but I'm still looking for a solution in getting wiring issue figured out fastpakr wasn't able to send a picture to i.d the wiring conversion I needed. I would appreciate any information, again I am going from a 00 v-8 explorer donor into a 4.0 00 4x4 ranger.
Thanks guys
