I've never owned a 3.0 and I've never swapped out a 2.9 for any other engine. lol

I just shoot usable 2.9 blocks full of holes and then scrap them, to do the world a favor. You should see them come apart when you shoot them while running. Just a beautiful sight..

It's all about the perspective you choose to look at. I guess I choose to look at it from a perspective of humor and the fact that Ford doesn't owe me anything. Apparently, some of you think they do. If it's gotten to that level, I'd be looking for a different brand. I've heard several of you say you like Jeeps. What's stopping you?

I personally think Ford was as much making fun of "National Emoji Day" as anything else.

I get it, apparently I have a different take on most everything than the masses here. I'm not one of the cool kids. Practically everything I've commented on has gone against the grain. Maybe I'm just not cut out to own a Ranger. I'll try to stick to the technical stuff from now on.

It sounds like you need an emoji. I can help with that. ??

I realized I knew very little about you, so I made you a GatorFord.

A commercial listed off a bunch of features that are currently exclusive to Ford, that I am not even remotely interested in having in one of my vehicles, then said "if you don't want these buy something else".

Ergo they told me to not buy a Ford. I'm driving a JK this week and I gotta say, I don't hate it. Not impressed with the performance, but I'm giving it a few breaks because is has CA plates and we are at 6K feet here. It also performs better when I do the shifting instead of the computer.

The Pentastar v6 was an ok engine. Ran much better with a manual vs the automatic. It's always felt like Chrysler hasn't gotten an auto 'right' to me since the 727 TorqueFlight days.

I've driven a few of the JKs. Really liked them, but could never justify the price. XJ was always my preference with a 4.0. They had their problems sure, but man were they a good fit for what I wanted out of a vehicle. Still miss my my lifted one like crazy (went to Jeep heaven).

Always wanted to find one of the super rare Grands they put the 360 in. Drove one once. What a freaking blast for its era.

Edits: busted wrist, blood blisters on thumbs, and two broken fingers = can't type worth a damn. Thanks, Ram axle shaft that fell on me! ??

remember the dakota r/t with a 360? that was probably quite a ride, yeah-street truck only (2wd) Ive had a better appreciation for older mopars lately, not sure why as Ive never considered myself a chrysler fan, must be these shows on motor trend television.
