i was at the jy today and saw an Areostar xlt. i check to see if it's AWD. It's not. but i did like the seats. grey with red piping. of course the driver seat was trashed. but the passenger was very nice. and the passenger seat BEHIND the driver was just as nice as, if not better than, the the passenger seat. at a quick glance-over, it looked the same, seat belt location and all. the seat-back lever looked a little different, but functionally the same. So the question is, has any one ever used the back bucket seat of an Areostar in a Ranger?

I always wondered this too, I mean even if its not bolt on, with some fabrication you could make it fit. Just depends if youre willing to do the work. Maybe if your JY will let you test fit the seats and return them if they dont fit for at least for a credit you could try that

Adsm said something in an earlier thread that the passengers side ratchetey gizmo is on the wrong side and wont work on the drivers side even though the seats look identical. He knows all about this stuff.

If you're talking about this for your 01, remember you have a bunch of SRS nonsense under your seat that ties into the airbag system. A rear seat won't have an SRS belt so you may be doing some hacking and fiddling. And although I'm sure rusty doesn't even believe in seatbelts... SRS is important with airbags.
